Please see the below announcement pertaining to Shore Drive.

 

CITY OF SOMERVILLE & DCR REACH AGREEMENT OVER CONTROL OF SHORE DRIVE:
The City of Somerville has reached an agreement with the Massachusetts
Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to transfer maintenance
operations of Shore Drive in Ward 4 from DCR to the City.  In 2007, the
City and DCR reached an agreement pertaining to Fellsway West, giving
the City the right to regulate traffic, make public safety improvements,
and enforce street sweeping and snow plowing operations along the
roadway, while DCR will maintain its jurisdiction over waterfront park
land.  The agreement is effective immediately.  For more information on
Fellsway West maintenance activities, contact the city's Constituent
Service Center by dialing 311 (617-666-3311 from outside Somerville).
