Tufts Medical School, working with STEP (the Somerville Transportation Equity Partnership), will be conducting a Community Assessment of Freeway Exposure and Health (CAFEH) study. It will focus on the impact of air pollutants on the health of residents living near I-93. The Tufts research team will survey a sample of residents in East Somerville, Ten Hills and The Mystic Housing starting on July 20, 2009. Thus, you or a neighbor may be contacted soon and be asked to participate. The City supports the project as a way to learn more about how to improve the health and well-being of Somerville residents.
