We hope you will come join in! TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY, Thurs., Dec. 3rd, 5:30 p.m., City Hall concourse: Come over to City Hall this Thursday to participate in the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy a special visit from Santa (who rides in on a fire truck), holiday music, and treats for all. Come join us for this great annual event! ILLUMINATIONS TOUR! Tickets are on sale for this unusual annual event, which will occur on Sat., Dec. 19th this year. A joint public hearing will be held to receive public comment on an ordinance amending the Somerville Zoning Ordinance to include a Senior Housing Use Citywide. Finally, some nuts and bolts on city operations: EXTENDED HOURS AT TRAFFIC AND PARKING: Traffic and Parking will be open the next two Saturdays (Dec. 5th and 12th) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will also remain open until 7 p.m. on January 4th and 5th in order to provide permitting assistance to residents affected by new parking regulations. One third of Somerville's public ways will be converting to resident permit parking status effective January 4th.
